Lately I have A HUGE addiction to fitspo. Pardonnez-moi le mot?!!! Fitspiration - simply put: pictures of girls that have insane bodies, food that is superhealthy but still looks delicious, workout motivation, shots of stylish Nike shoes and so on. These pictures are supposed to 'help' you to get to your goal and believe me, it works. When I want to eat a brownie but I have looked at some fitspo before I WILL NOT EAT that brownie! Because if I do I can almost feel those pictures saying to me: "you will never look like me unless you put that brownie down RIGHT NOW". I have been on the healthy-eating train my whole life (I try to eat loads of vegetables and fruits, use only natural ingredients, I don't do fastfood,..) but lately I'm a lot more concerned about what I put into my body (E-numbers etc). And altough I know there is still a lot of work (I mean, like A LOT) to do until I will look like something that comes even close to these pictures I'm hoping that someday I will get there...
Fitspo is not in any way the same as thinspo (pictures of very skinny girls). I know there is a whole (Tumblr) world out there that promotes looking as skinny as possible, but that's not at all what fitspo is about. The goal is to 'tone' yourself - making sure you can see muscles (like abs) but not too much ofcourse (no bodybuilder-women!!)
Now I suggest you put down whatever unhealthy food you're eating when looking at this post, because believe me, you will regret every bite... :)
Going to make some posts about healthy eating + workouts soon, so stay tuned!!
